A film about the shipwreck of the South Iceland cargo ship in the seas between Iceland and Norway on Christmas night 1986 is being produced in Hollywood. The main producer is Stefán Karl Stefánsson, an actor who has been passionate about the accident and its aftermath for years. He hopes that the film will be premiere after half a year. A production agreement has been signed with companies that produced, among other things, made movies like “Catch Me If You Can” with Tom Hanks and “I, Robot” with Will Smith. Hyde Park International will handle the sale and distribution of the film globally.
