The interview took place otherwise hand in a cafe in Reykjavik and the other hand through “Skype” but then Stefán sat out in the sun in California with views all over to Mexico and chatted through the computer.
Stefán , how were you as a child?
“In my younger years I was very active and all the photographs of
me was when I was moving, "says Stefán and laughs. "I often was difficult to deal with and sometimes the only way to keep me calm was to literally sit on top of me. I couldn’t leave anything in peace and freaked out in everything. My dad was working at the whale station in Hvalfjördur and left I often go there with him. An example of the activity I can mention that in the car on the way uphill I would throw and tear everything out of the glove compartment
and after that, I emptied the first-aid kit so that bandages and patches lay scattered throughout car. As soon as we stopped in Hvalfjörður
I jumped out of the car and disappeared in an instant. My dad would often have to look for me.
I was also very motivated and respected no boundaries. The conversation I spoke and spoke, grabbed my face and did not listen when others were talking. I did not mind anything about where I was or who I was talking to.
If I said something that I found funny and nobody was listening, I just laughed at the burner. I was absolutely unstoppable that led to that people often became very tired of me and many even gave up. This meant that I was a great one. I literally cast people away from me. ”
How did you study?
“The learning has always proved difficult. When I started thinking about reading soon something else. However, I’m really very easy with
to read content related to what I’m interested in. In Younger years I was very angry about the subject when I did not see the context in what I was
to learn. I could not understand why I had to read some particular book rather than others who wrote more to my field of interest.
At school I had participated in many school games and from that point I joined the theater of Hafnarfjarðar . I think it saved me. Soon there was some entertainment experience in me and I got it enjoy me. I got upset and people began to bully me We all need to find our interests, we will feel good at first.”
How do you read the script for plays?
"My strong suit is that I have good visual and audio memory. I have to see others perform the things and then do it yourself. When I’m practicing for a play I get sometimes help from my wife, Steina. to read together IE she first read me the script, then I read the text myself. When it comes to a gathering,-

“At a certain time in my life, I was in a very bad place. My perception of myself and others wasn’t totally in line with reality. I was a self-destructive force, had an internal battle as well had difficulty dealing emotionally with the easiest things. Compulsion and obsession made me difficult
for example, just to land in red light twice went completely with me. I was having trouble by being at work, at school and having a mind with what I was supposed to be doing. This did making all my symptoms more exaggerated.
Thus, I think that lack of self-esteem has been the main cause for this problem.
Margrétar Blöndal therapist and she helped me a lot. When I arrived
Her thoughts were "out of all” and everything too much running in my head at once. It took me more hours to realize I was okay. Margrét opened me a new vision of myself. She helped me look inside instead of seek a cause in the environment. Because Iceland is very small country, society can be very busy
because telling someone who to be and even to form opinions about a person. person can be either as salmon or trout. The trout swims with the group like everyone else but the salmon swims against the stream and a little bit outside of it all. I had to choose between. During my treatment at Margrét I learned push the attitude of one another aside and set the goal on myself.
Before that, I survived a lot of a lot because of the fear controlled me. I went all alone and even had hard to go to family gatherings where I feared interacting with people. Fear is the strongest enemy of us. Willingly, however, is a force that conquers the fear. I respond to the fear by choosing to open
the window post and frustrate what I owe much. I am always choosing. Occasionally comes up my fear today but then I try to shake him -
